Community Health Needs Assessment
Southern Regional is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve. As a not-for-profit hospital, the hospital is required to conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) every three years and completed the 2022-2024 CHNA full report and Implementation Strategy Plan in response to that report at the end of 2021.
The CHNA process was guided by a Hospital Steering Committee comprised of senior leaders and a Key Stakeholders Committee comprised of community leaders who represent the broad interests of the communities served by the hospital and facilities it operates. These key community leaders reviewed and assessed the compiled data and results of the CHNA community survey; assessed the needs of the community; and reviewed the availability of community resources. Their collective insight determined the prioritization of the health needs of the community and the 2022-2024 CHNA Strategic Implementation Plan.
