Food Talk is a free series of six free classes geared toward nutrition, physical activity, and obesity prevention. Each class is 90 minutes and keeps participants moving with interactive physical activities, cooking demonstrations, and tastings. Each session has a specific wellness focus accompanied by onsite cooking of a healthy recipe prepared by the presenter with participants engaged in the overall preparation. Participants receive a take home booklet, extended education information related to the lesson and healthy lifestyle behaviors, and a certificate of completion for attending all six sessions.
The Food Talk Program classes will be held from 5 – 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays in November – 8, 15, 29 and December – 6, 13, 20 in the hospital’s Georgia Room in the Magnolia Café (located on the Ground Floor). Parking is free.
To register for the program, interested participants must email their name and phone number by November 6 to: srgamarketing2@primehealthcare.com. For questions about the program, call 770-991-8032.
