The Breast Health Clinic and Surgery Clinic offices have re-opened at the Spivey Station Offices in Jonesboro. The clinic is under the direction of Todd Tom, MD, Breast and General Surgeon. Dr. Tom is board-certified by the American Board of Surgeons and a member of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Breast Surgeons. He holds a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Tom received his medical degree from Hahnemann Medical University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; completed a General Surgery Residency at The Brooklyn-Caledonia Hospital, New York, and completed two Internships – one at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania and one at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
For nearly 30 years, he has combined his passion for operations and analytics to drive excellent service and quality patient care. Dr. Tom’s vast expertise, years of surgical experience, and specialty training have positioned him as a highly skilled surgeon who performs a wide variety of innovative breast, general and specialty surgical procedures such as: Oncoplastic Breast Cancer Surgery; Ultrasound-Guided and Stereotactic Core Breast Biopsy; Anti-Reflux Procedures; and Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeries like Hiatal Hernia, Thyroidectomy, Colon Resection, and Gallbladder.
His data-driven approach and continuous clinical improvement initiatives have led to the establishment of Breast Centers of Excellence at previous clinics. His goal is to bring his experience and skill set to The Breast Health Clinic and Surgery Clinic at Southern Regional and transform the clinic into a Breast Center of Excellence.
