Heart Patient Education
Heart disease is the number one killer of women. In fact, more women die of problems related to heart disease than of all types of cancer combined. And, if you have diabetes, you are two to four times more likely to have heart disease than someone without diabetes.
Chest pain could be simple indigestion or a heart attack. Knowing the warning signs of a heart attack, and knowing how to respond, could save a life. And, as an Accredited Chest Pain Center, Southern Regional is staffed with the team and technology to make a difference, when minutes count.

Stroke occurs when blood flow to the brain is disrupted. Disruption in blood flow is caused when either a blood clot blocks one of the vital blood vessels in the brain, or when a blood vessel in the brain bursts, spilling blood into surrounding tissues. As a designated Primary Stroke Center, our team specializes in treating this condition, using some of the most advanced treatments available, such as TPA.
