Turkey Meatballs


  • 1/2 small yellow onion, diced small
  • 2 each garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/3 cup bread crumbs, whole wheat
  • 2 tsp tomato paste
  • 1/3 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/3 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp basil, dried, leaves
  • 1 lb. turkey, ground
  • 2 tsp olive oil


  1. Preheat an oven to 350 °F
  2. Mix all the ingredients, except for the olive oil
  3. Roll all the mixture into 1-1.5” balls
  4. Place a large-skillet over med-high heat and add olive oil. Once heated, add meatballs one at a time and cook until golden brown on each side. Once seared, place on a baking sheet.
  5. Place the pan in the oven for 10-15 minutes until fully cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to check for internal temp. of 165° F
  6. Enjoy with your favorite veggies and pasta sauce for a complete meal. Zucchini noodles are a great option.
