Southern Regional recommends that you get a COVID-19 vaccine as soon as it’s available to you.
The state of Georgia has opened eligibility for the COVID-19 vaccine to ALL Georgians over the age of 5. Anyone 12 and older is eligible for the booster vaccine.
Clayton County Board of Health has been selected as our county’s public vaccine site. Additionally, many local drug stores and grocery stores are offering the vaccine. For information about how you can go about scheduling your COVID-19 vaccine in Georgia, go to: georgia.gov/covid-vaccine
The COVID-19 vaccine is an important tool to help transition back to “normal,” but it does not mark the end of the pandemic. Continued social distancing, avoiding contact with those who have been exposed or are confirmed positive of COVID-19, properly wearing a face mask in public and practicing hand hygiene are still among the guidelines by CDC and the State of Georgie to help slow and stop the spread of COVID-19.
