Insightful Seniors: “Dealing with Depression”

Southern Regional offers Insightful Seniors — a series of free senior education programs — throughout the senior centers in our communities. “Dealing with Depression” will be presented by our Director of Behavioral Health Services at the Sonna Singleton Gregory Senior Center in Ellenwood. All local seniors are invited to attend.

Depression is a real and treatable medical condition. It’s not just a normal part of aging, but older adults are at an increased risk for experiencing depression. Recognize the signs of depression, what steps to take if you suspect a loved one (or even yourself) is coping with depression and understand the resources that are available to you.
