Insightful Seniors: “Arthritis – Loosen Up”

Southern Regional offers Insightful Seniors — a series of free senior education programs — throughout the senior centers in our communities. “Arthritis – Loosen Up” will be presented by our Director of Rehabilitation at the Heritage Senior Activity Center in McDonough.All local seniors are invited to attend.

Although chronic joint conditions are part of gaining, having weak muscles can accelerate or worsen the condition. Exercise increases strength and flexibility, reduces joint pain, and helps combat fatigue, but you can overdo it. Find out what moderate strengthening exercises and other activities can help you stay flexible and can slowly ease your joints.
